One of my goals in the coming year is to be a better blogger. That’s sort of a weird concept since all you really need to be a blogger is to type stuff on a blog. But I guess I just hope to step up my game, and my exposure, in the coming year. Here are a few ideas that I hope to implement in the future.
Comment On More Blogs — I need to stop being such a lurker and comment on more peoples blogs. I think a goal of commenting on a minimum of 5 blogs per day is a good start.
Respond To More Comments — I need to respond to more of the comments left on my own blog. I used to avoid that practice to keep from hogging all the white space, but continuing a conversation is just good manners.
Find More Friends — I need to be more active in searching for bloggers that interest me and link to them, maybe even ask for a link swap. Not just like-minded people, but also those that challenge me.
Write Better — Perhaps the most obvious suggestion, but I need to produce better writing. Too often I’m in such a rush to post on a topic that I don’t put the necessary time into structure, research, and grammar.
Innovate — In addition to simply writing better, I need to deliver better material. I need to be less of a clone, and more of a trail blazer. I want more ht’s given to me than I give out. That’ll take some work.
