Every year Group Publishing develops a free ministry tool called ‘Groups Giveback‘. Basically it’s a way to say “thank you” to thier friends in ministry and it’s a way they let God know that every blessing Group receives comes from Him.
I’ve jumped on this freebie since they started doing it a few years ago. Past givebacks were a DVD called, After the Fall – A Climber’s True Story of Facing Death and Relying on God, and a book/cd combo entitled, Friendship – Creating a Culture of Connectivity in Your Church. Both were great and are available if anyone wants to borrow them.
Last night I watched this years giveback called, Ministry Makeover – Small Changes, Big Difference. It’s pretty good. One thing I took from it early is this statement:
Students shouldn’t be taught the way the teacher likes to teach, but rather how the students like to learn
We’re all different and we all learn in different ways. Some people are book smart learners and some are get up and do it type learners. A good teacher will recognize this and adapt their style to best suite the needs of those he’s trying to teach.
