Lunch Options

Superman and I have been working our way through different TV series’ on our lunch breaks. Since the half-hour shows are really only 22-25 minutes, we can squeeze in two during each break. So far we’ve worked our way through Season 1 of WKRP In Cincinnati, Seasons 1-4 of NewsRadio, Season 1 of LOST, Seasons 1-6 of Seinfeld, and we’re almost done with the Season 7 of Seinfeld.

Season 8 of Seinfeld, and Season 5 of NewsRadio are both still available for purchase, but I’m holding out for a birthday or Christmas present with those. Or at least for the prices to drop a bit. So now we have to consider our options. Here are our two top choices available:

The Simpsons -or- Scrubs

What’s your pick?

Pontification

My opinions on the two biggest stories in America this morning—at least according to the media.

Paris Hilton Has Returned to Jail
I must admit, when she was released from jail last week I too wanted to punch some babies. But the more I thought about it, the more the word ‘Grace’ kept popping into my brain. How would I want to be handled in that situation? With grace of course.

Without a doubt it isn’t right be treated differently than others because of your name and your pocketbook, but when it all comes down to it we all are relying on grace to us through this thing called life. Perhaps Paris should be allowed some as well. I actually feel sorry for her.

The Soprano’s Ending
You would think I was kidding when I told you that yesterday every radio station I listened to was discussing the ending of Soprano’s. When I got home that night and watched Around the Horn, and P.T.I., and even SportsCenter, they all covered the ending. Later that night when I watched some cable news, all of the stations were covering it. I didn’t even watch the ending, but I can describe it to you in vivid detail.

I admit I have never seen a single episode, so my opinion on the ending of a show in which I have never seen might be off-base, but if all anyone is talking about for an entire day is your show, I must say… job well done.
