The Office: Japanese Style

While it lasts…

If it’s down, you can watch it on Hulu.com here.

(Can anyone give me a detailed sketch on how to embed Hulu.com videos on a free WordPress.com blog using Vodpod?)

Turn Off Your Gaydar

Lest any Christians get their panties in a bunch about the recent news coming out of California involving gay marriage, I really hope they weren’t laughing last night when Dwight swept Angela off into an office and got hot and sweaty the very night she got engaged to Andy.

Or every time Michael says, “That’s what she said.”

Or laughed when Kevin said, “I am totally gonna bang Holly.”

Or look the other way that Jim and Pam are living together.

I mean that just wouldn’t be very consistent, would it?

Eric Bryant had a great post yesterday called Why Homophobia Is So Gay.

Happy MLK Day

Seriously though, MLK was one of the first biographies I read when I first started reading back in elementary school. Today he remains one of my favorite people to ever walk the earth. Truly a leader and visionary.

Monday Mashup

• Big week this week. David Crowder Bands new album, Remedy, comes out tomorrow. And the new season of The Office kicks off on Thursday with a full hour!

•  I picked up a couple of cheap CD’s on Saturday. A local bookstore was selling off their Demo CD’s and I got LeelandSound of Melodies, and Third Day -Chronology Volume Two. Both were in perfect condition and were $5 and $7 respectively.

•  It looks like in addition to seeing Mute Math in October, Jason and I will be heading down to Fort Wayne for some Lifehouse. That’s not bad for back-to-back weekends, eh?

• The other blog I collaborate on, AC180.com, has recently added a few contributers, as well as vamped up the overall look. Its a site for men to hang out, so men, stop by and say HI sometime.

**UPDATE** I forgot to mention this. It seemed like from the lack of comments that most didn’t watch this video. I encourage you to give it a shot. Make sure you see it through to the end as well. It’s simply incredible!

God, Inc.

In keeping with my belief that we should always listen to constructive criticism, I feel compelled to post this latest viral video moving up the ranks on YouTube. It’s a satire based loosely on NBC’s The Office, that puts you into the the business end of Heaven. This is the first episode of six to be made. Here is part of the write-up in its description:

What if all the problems on earth were not caused by a spiteful deity, or karma, or fate, but just office politics and the Peter Principle?

So what are your thoughts? Good, Bad, Ugly? What can we learn from what the creator is trying to say?
