Unplugged Week – All things considered, a great success. It’s funny how concerned others get that you’re following the rules you imposed on yourself. Tanner was better than I was in the whole thing. Not bad for a 4 year old. Tonia and I had a couple great conversations that went late into the night. Our basement project moved forward. And I finished off two books I was reading, and made a big dent in the third.
Easter Sunday – Best service in NewSong history. Perhaps the best service I’ve ever attended anywhere. Our worship team is 100% volunteer, so to see what they pulled off by having two practices during the week, including a 5 hour marathon on Saturday night, was inspiring. And the pastors lesson on hope was a Top-Fiver for me. I just wish more of the community were there to hear it. I taped the whole service, so look for some sort of confessional soon here.
Swimming + Bowling – Two things I haven’t done in awhile, but two things I enjoyed this weekend. I officially started my training on the swimming portion of the triathlon I’m participating in this summer. Not bad for the first time out. But I’ve got some work to do before I can swim the better part of a mile without stopping. And bowling with some friends is always a great way to build relationships.
The Weather – So Thursday it was in the mid 40′s with blue and sunny skies. And then Friday night it snowed and snowed and snowed, so much that when we woke up Saturday morning, there was a minimum of 10″ of snow covering the ground. Easter egg hunts are fun in the snow.
