Change Without Compromise

This Thursday, Friday and Saturday I’ll be hanging out at Northridge again for the Change Without Compromise conference.

A great many pastors and churches have refused to even consider change for fear that they too would compromise truth. Brad both understands and respects this fear. After all, when we compromise God’s truth, we have nothing of value to offer people.

The good news is that we don’t have to compromise the truth in order to transition our ministries to greater effectiveness. In fact, the only legitimate motivation for transitioning the style and method of our ministry is to communicate God’s truth to those He loves and died for.

There were about 6 of us that went up there last year, and this year I think we’ve doubled that. It’s a shame though that those of us that go to these things are already on board with what Brad is trying to say. The people that really need to hear this stuff typically aren’t there. But it does give those of us that do go quite a shot in the arm.

Cow Tipping

The past three days have been spent up at NorthRidge Church for a seminar on Church & Change. It provided an amazing amount information and inspiration and I imagine I will be posting a lot of it in the coming days and weeks. For now, all I can say is go buy this book by Brad Powell which goes into greater detail exactly the same material from the seminar!
