My fantasy team is drafted and Michigan’s season is blown, so I can now focus my attention to some professional football. The NFL season kicks off tonight with the defending Super Bowl champs, the Indianapolis Colts, taking on America’s newest darling, the New Orleans Saints.
This should be a great game to watch. Now that Michael Vick is taking a sabbatical, Reggie Bush is the current favorite to become the next Barry Sanders.
It all kicks off tonight at 8:30pm on NBC. Oh, and I will be Live Blogging this event so stay tuned to this post!!

By the way, I read that NBC is implementing some CSI type camera work to zoom in on goal line, out of bounds, and first down questions. I’ve yet to see it used, but I’m curious if this will be as ground breaking as the FOX first down line.

A couple pre-game notes as I go through some system checks…
• This Louisville/Middle Tennessee Game on ESPN 2 is making it really hard to switch the channel. Man I love football!
• Rick Ankiel is force. He hit another 2 homeruns today. Ankiel is batting .358 with nine homers and 29 RBIs in 23 games.
• I have Deuce McAllister on the bench tonight in favor of Frank Gore and Willie Parker. I hope I didn’t make a mistake.
• From what I can tell, I’m supposed to put the updates at the top of the previous one. It feels weird, but that’s how I’m going to do it.
