Testing the WordPress file upload capabilities. I usually upload these to my personal server, but if WordPress is going to allow me to use their space for free who am I to argue?

This website fell into my lap this morning and I just had to share. I’m not sure if this came out specifically for Doug or not, but it’s a worthy cause that shouldn’t be taken lightly. (Make sure you watch the video).

Have you ever called in for customer service only to find out that the person trying to help you doesn’t even speak your language, or if they do, it’s not that great? Well, chalk another company up to the outsourcing craze. Only this time, it’s the prayer lines being outsourced.
“There aren’t enough Americans willing to sit in the prayer tower and take calls anymore,” says a prayer coordinator at a major ministry which jobbed out its prayer lines last year.
As you can imagine, this isn’t working out as well as planned. Just last month, Lori Danes, 43, called the prayer line and requested prayer for her mother’s persistent ulcers. But her prayer representative, who called himself “Darren,” prayed in a strong Indian accent that “all the gods would bless her mightily.”

Lark News is a comedy newsletter satirizing contemporary American Christian culture, specifically evangelicalism. It is written by author and freelance journalist Joel Kilpatrick. According to the site’s official disclaimer:
LarkNews is a satirical newspaper published by Joel Kilpatrick. LarkNews uses invented names in all its stories, except in cases when public figures are being satirized. Any other use of real names is accidental and coincidental.
Lark News’s style is very similar to that of The Onion, and is widely read by both Christians and non-Christians. Kilpatrick is himself an evangelical who also writes more conventional Christian exposition, but believes that satire is necessary for a healthy community.

Don’t judge me! This past Saturday I went into my local library to browse through their book sale. All I found was a lot of mildew smelling books. But then I noticed a little section with tapes, CD’s and VHS tapes. Would you believe I found this little gem from my childhood? Don’t Be Cruel by Bobby Brown.
I can fondly remember listening to this album (cassette then) over and over. I was quite an R&B enthusiast, as you might remember. Anyway, it was sitting there and it was only $1.00 so I said why not! I listened to it in the car on Saturday and I could still recite all the lyrics. Turns out I really didn’t know what I was saying back then. It’s hilarious. Seriously, check this line out from the title track:
Now you know my name, now I know your game
You want to be with me you got to be the same way
That another girl would be and if you wanna be with me
Don’t Be Cruel
I can only imagine what I was thinking back then. I didn’t even know any girls back in Jr. High, so I must have been talking to whoever was ignoring me at the time.

Coming to a theater near you June 2, 2006.
I have to admit, when I first saw this advertised on Dave’s blog I was skeptical. So skeptical, actually, that I didn’t even watch the trailer.
Dumb move.
With that said, I leave you with the trailer for Nacho Libre to watch over and over and over this weekend.

…Never meaning no harm.
Ran across this picture while looking for some other pictures this weekend. Thought you all might enjoy. Unfortunately this was taken within the last 5 years. Notice the super cool Ab stimulator working out my fabulous abs while sucking down on a fudge pop. It doesn’t get any better than that!
