Love him or hate him, David Blaine is quite the showman. I caught a special on him a little over a month ago and loved his illusions. He’s been encased in a block of ice for 62 hours, stood atop an 80-foot pole for 35 hours and buried himself in a plexiglass coffin for seven days without food or water. Since about 1pm on Monday, last Monday, he has been living underwater and breathing through an air tube, taking in only Gatorade and other liquid nutrients. I’m looking forward to watching him “escape” tonight, holding his breath for a world record 9 minutes while being chained up. It will be covered Live on ABC @ 8pm.
