Serve to Heal

I was listening to a Mosaic podcast the other day and heard the following quote that gave me a good reminder. How many times do we feel sorry for ourselves? How many times do we feel so much better after doing something for someone else? It’s amazing the amount of times I’ve gone into a situation looking to serve someone else, only to find myself served through the process.

You don’t begin to serve after you’re healed. You begin to be healed after you begin to serve. The healing actually comes through serviing. —Erwin McManus

I’d like to take this time to remind everybody how much more beneficial it is to buy for, or serve, somebody else this Christmas. Instead of wasting spending your money on your significant other, bless somebody that needs a good blessing. And if you don’t know of anyone, drop me a line, I know a bunch!
