Last weekend Tonia had to go to Chicago for 3 days for work, and Tanner and I had the house to ourselves. So we decided to watch the original Star Wars trilogy. Tanner had only seen bits and parts before, so this was going to be his first real experience. And it was the first time I had watched them all together that close.
And a couple weeks ago I remembered that I had a ton of action figures in my attic that I collected in college during the release of the prequels. So after each episode I gave Tanner a couple of the main characters that were featured. I’ve still got about 25 left, along with a Millennium Falcon carrying case, and a Jabba the Hut. I figure I can turn all of that into a pretty killer Christmas present.
Man, what a great time! After the second episode we were wrestling around, and he says, “I’m your father” in a deep voice. There’s just nothing like a father and son weekend. Especially when it involves Star Wars.
