Foosball Anyone?

There is no information about how long this table actually is, but suffice it to say— you are going to need to bring some friends. In fact, two full soccer teams (22 players) could go head to head on this thing in what would undoubtedly be an epic foosballing showdown. Unfortunately, you may never get a chance to try your skill—the Table Football XXL is a one-of-a-kind item built as an advertising stunt for Amstel beer.

Shame On You Billy

I know it’s been a while since Achy Breaky Heart, Mr. Cyrus, but come on… do you really have to flaunt your 15 year old daughter out as a sex symbol to get your publicity back? Have you not seen what that kind of garbage has done to the likes of Britney Spears and Lindsey Lohan?

I’m really not completely offended by this latest spread for Vanity Fair. I am mostly offended with the lengths you are willing to go as her father to garner publicity, not only for her, but for yourself.

You wrote a sweet song about her growing up too fast, yet all you’re doing is throwing her out there to the wolves with stunts like this. What did you think was going to come out of a photoshoot that included taking her shirt off? Haven’t you been in this business long enough to know the paths you’re taking her down?

You’re her father.

Shame on you.

ps. Miley, it’s not too late for you to read this letter written just for you.

Comcast vs. Dish

comcastdish.jpg

It had to happen eventually.

Due to circumstances beyond my control, I now have half of the cable channels I did only 24 hours ago. To get the good ones back I’ll have to pay more money. So now I have to make the choice… do I now switch to the Dish Network?

Comcast Cable or Dish Network?

Either way I’m going to score a DVR out of this (I’ve been beating the snot out of my VCR lately), but I’m just so nervous about making a switch. I’m bad for brand loyalty.

Any pros or cons?

Mud Puppy Magazines

There are two must own magazines in my life. Both come accompanied with an equally sweet web presence. Both are leaders in change and innovation, and have flippin’ sweet design. Both would make great Christmas presents for anyone you know that loves to be on the cutting edge.

RELEVANT Magazine
www.relevantmagazine.com

RELEVANT is a bimonthly Christian magazine first published in 2003. It is a group of twentysomethings Christians who seek to break stereotypes, challenge status-quo and enact change through the media through exploring the intersection of faith and pop culture. They are a self-contained, for-profit business not affiliated with any other companies, denominations or organizations. A subscription runs around $12 per year.

WIRED Magazine
www.wired.com

WIRED is a monthly magazine first published in 1993. They are the first word on technology. Every month in the magazine and every day on the website, WIRED explores how ideas fueled by innovation change the world. Topics covered include culture, science, economy, technology, and politics. They are owned by Condé Nast Publications. A subscription runs around $10 per year.

Poetic Justice

I feel weird about this latest O.J. Simpson news. I really want to feel great that he is finally going to see some jail time after roaming around free for all these years. The problem is, I just can’t bring myself to say that he’s 100% guilty of murder. Sure most of the world believes he did it, but all we really know is what the media allowed us to know.

So in that light, here’s a guy that is possibly (“So you’re saying there’s a chance!”) innocent of past accusations and is living through all of the finger pointing and name calling.

What if. That’s what I keep asking myself. What if he didn’t do it. In that case, I really feel sorry for the guy. It’s also sad to think about how inspirational his start into football was, and how amazing an athlete he was. And that’s nothing to say of his budding acting career, or stellar sideline reporting.

OK. I’m getting a little ridiculous now. I’m simply biding time for Mute Math on Jimmy Kemmel. We all know he’s guilty as sin. Kemmel had a funny joke about it. “OJ kills his ex-wife and gets off scott free, but he steals his own jersey and is now facing life in prison.” Good stuff Jimmy. Good stuff.
