The Reason

It’s been quite awhile since I’ve posted lyrics to a song—at least the full lyrics—but this weekend I was reintroduced to a song that I posted lyrics to over 2 years ago. My boys (and lady) from Captured not only played it at their concert on Saturday night, but also during worship on Sunday. It’s a very powerful song and I’m proud of their courage to do such an unconventional tune. They actually want to do more of that. If you have any suggestions, please leave them in the comments.

Captured in Concert

The NewSong house band, Captured, will be playing at the Tecumseh Civic Auditorium on January 20 @ 7:30pm. They will be opening up for Measured Chaos, a Detroit blues band. Tickets are $14 adult and $12 senior/student.

Captured & Chickens

Get the word out, this years’ Fair is going to be much more than 4H and ferris wheels. Now there will be a healthy alternative to the Tim McGraw type acts that they bring in. Not that there is anything wrong with ol’ Timmy but, with hopes of this being well attended, this is a stepping block to the Lenawee County Fair considering bringing in bigger CCM artists, like say TobyMac, the David Crowder Band, Casting Crowns or Third Day.

It’s up to us to get the word out and to show the Fair board that we want these types of artists. This isn’t a NewSong event, this is a Christian music lovers event. Invite every person and church you know.

Tell everyone… Captured is coming… Sunday, August 13 @ 7pm.
