My two week trial ends today, and I couldn’t be more impressed. So impressed actually that I’m preparing to sell most of my DVD collection.
Since signing up two weeks ago, I’ve requested and returned six movies. The movies I put in my mailbox yesterday were received by Netflix this morning, and I’ll have two more movies waiting for me when I get home tomorrow. Gotta love having a distribution center in Lansing! This set up is amazing.
In case you’re not familiar with the process of Netflix. Here’s the scoop, you can choose from a few different plans. The one I chose allows me to have 3 movies at a time, with unlimited requests for $16.99 per month. I can keep any and all of them for as long as I want. When I’m done with one, I send it back and they ship me the next DVD in my que. You’re only limited in how fast you can watch them. Sending them back is easy too because they send you a pre-paid return envelope. No hassle and no extra charges.
Their collection is astounding. I’ve even got Tron que’d up for the not so distant future. Which leads me to a point I made earlier. I’m going to be selling off most of my movies. I can’t really decide how I want to do this yet. I could sell them individually on ebay, or amazon. I could sell them in lots on ebay. I could sell them to people on the blogosphere first. I could sell them at a garage sale. It’s tough. I’m also trying to figure out which ones I want to keep. Box sets are big with me, but there are certain individual movies that I’d like to hang on to as well.
While I try to figure it all out, check out my collection and let me know if you’re interested in any of the movies. Most of them have been watched once at the most, and are in pristine condition.
