Nuisance

Nuisance — John Reuben

So here we are in the same old spot,
knowing something needs to happen but our mouths are locked.
tongue tied, closed tight, sealed shut yup.
I tried hard,
but it just wouldn’t come up.
It’s on the tip of my tongue,
it’s in the front of my mind.
But the words were still so hard to find.
Finally the reality of things to come pushed me to the edge.
I jumped off the cliff into the abyss as I said,

I’m not trying to be a nuisance.
I just think we can do better than this.
That was simply my two cents.
You can, you can, take it or leave it.

The conversation lingered on and on,
Before I knew it, night had turned to dawn.
We’ll be searching for the truth in all of this
ha, or are we debating, just to win the argument.
Cause none of us wanna hear about where we go wrong.
This song could easily be from me to you, or me to john.
Cause I have the potential, to be the guiltiest.
My greatest strength is also my strongest weakness.

I’m not trying to be a nuisance.
I just think we can do better than this.
That was simply my two cents.
You can, you can, take it or leave it.

Let’s think about this path that we’re taking,
Let’s think about this future we’re creating.
Let’s think about this life that is fading,
Think about it
Come on, think about now

Lets think about this time we’re spending,
Investing in monetary things that are ending.
Let’s think about it then.
Let’s think together.
Let’s think about what we can do to make it better.

I’m not trying to be a nuisance.
I just think we can do better than this.
That was simply my two cents.
You can, you can, take it or leave it.

Wiper Blades

Wiper Blades — Heywood Banks

Oh winter’s here with all the ice and snow
And the surly slush upon the road
The salty spray upon my window
Made me wish that I’d replaced my wiper blades

My wiper wiper wiper blades
My wiper wiper wiper blades
My wiper wiper wiper blades
I wish that I’d replaced my wiper blades

Salty spray from semi’s that do pass
They turn my windshield into bathroom glass
I turn the knob but I come to the conclusion
That I did not fill up my wiper solution

My wiper wiper wiper fluid
My wiper wiper wiper fluid
My wiper wiper wiper fluid
I wish that I’d replaced my wiper fluid

My wiper wiper wiper blades
My wiper wiper wiper blades
My wiper wiper wiper blades
I wish that I’d replaced my wiper blades

Down Expressway 80 m-p-h
I can make out headlights
Daylight’s frosted shapes
But down by the dash is a clearing
Where both the blades do scrape
I can see fine if I lay on the passenger seat

My wiper wiper wiper blades
My wiper wiper wiper blades
My wiper wiper wiper blades
I wish that I’d replaced my wiper blades

Little Wonders

Little Wonders – Rob Thomas

Let it go,
Let it roll right off your shoulder
Don’t you know
The hardest part is over
Let it in,
Let your clarity define you
In the end
We will only just remember how it feels

Our lives are made
In these small hours
These little wonders,
These twists and turns of fate
Time falls away,
But these small hours,
These small hours still remain

Let it slide,
Let your troubles fall behind you
Let it shine
Until you feel it all around you
And I don’t mind
If it’s me you need to turn to
We’ll get by,
It’s the heart that really matters in the end

Our lives are made
In these small hours
These little wonders,
These twists and turns of fate
Time falls away,
But these small hours,
These small hours still remain

All of my regret
Will wash away some how
But I can not forget
The way I feel right now

In these small hours
These little wonders
These twists and turns of fate
These twists and turns of fate
Time falls away but these small hours
These small hours, still remain,
Still remain
These little wonders
These twists and turns of fate
Time falls away
But these small hours
These little wonders still remain

It’s Not Over

It’s Not Over – Daughtry

I was blown away
What could I say?
It all seemed to make sense
You’ve taken away everything
And I can’t deal with that
I try to see the good in life
But good things in life are hard to find
We’ll blow it away, blow it away
Can we make this something good?
Well, I’ll try to do it right this time around

Let’s start over
I’ll try to do it right this time around
It’s not over
‘Cause a part of me is dead and in the ground
This love is killing me
But You’re the only one
It’s not over

Taken all I could take
And I cannot wait
We’re wasting too much time
Being strong, holding on
Can’t let it bring us down
My life with You means everything
So I won’t give up that easily
I’ll blow it away, blow it away
Can we make this something good?
‘Cause it’s all misunderstood
Well, I’ll try to do it right this time around

Let’s start over
I’ll try to do it right this time around
It’s not over
‘Cause a part of me is dead and in the ground
This love is killing me
But You’re the only one
It’s not over

We can’t let this get away
Let it out, let it out
Don’t get caught up in yourself
Let it out

Let’s start over
I’ll try to do it right this time around
It’s not over
‘Cause a part of me is dead and in the ground
This love is killing me
But You’re the only one
It’s not over

Let’s start over
It’s not over, yeah
This love is killing me
But You’re the only one
It’s not over

Living Water Mission

wellproject1

I mentioned last Christmas that our small church raised over ten thousand dollars to go to Africa to dig a well. In February it will become a reality, and I couldn’t be more proud!

Despite this bitter Michigan winter, the team has been diligently honing the skills necessary to hand drill wells. But this trip will be more than just us drilling wells, it will be more of us training local people to drill their own wells in the future using rig fabrication with common, low cost materials widely available around the world.

“We want to foster indigenous well drilling movements, rather than just drill wells for people.”

They have asked for the following prayers…

• Success in finding water and bringing this technology to the people who will be blessed by it

• Success in communicating the gospel of Jesus, the Living Water, to those who desperately need it

• For our host to be blessed in all they do

• Protection from local tribal conflicts and in all our travels

• Strength, stamina and good health as we labor at an elevation of 6,800 feet!

• Adjustment to an African work schedule

• Finding an in country organizer and co-ordinator to continue the work after we leave

• For the ability to spiritually minister in a way that is relelvant to our hearers

• For our understanding and accepatance of the local work ethic and customs

• For us all to grow closer to God and to one another in this mission

• To bring Glory to God!

You can follow their story here.

Who We Are

Who We Are – Lifehouse

Live my life around a picture
Taken when we met
Spending all of my time chasing your silhouette
For all we go through, I don’t want to change you
Cause my minds running in reverse trying not to forget
Who we were
Where it’s at
Here We Go

And we break
And we burn
And we turn it inside out
To take it back
To the start
And through the rise and falling apart
We discover who we are

Strugling with my thoughts
Change the locks inside my head
Reading between the lines
Of what you say, and what you said
I turn the radio on, to drown me out
Driving through the night to nowhere
Trying to forget
Who we were
Where it’s at
Here we go

And we break
And we burn
And turn it inside out
To take it back
To the start
And through the rise and falling apart
We discover who we are

And it’s all
To the wind
It’s all
In our heads
It’s all to the wind
It’s all in our heads

And we break
And we burn
And we turn it inside out
To take it back
To the start
And through the rise and falling apart
We discover who we are

And we break
And we burn
and we turn it inside out
To take it back
To the start
And through the rise and falling apart
We discover who we are

Bedshaped

Bedshaped – Keane

Many’s the time I ran with you down
The rainy roads of our old town
Many the lives we lived in each day
And buried all together
Don’t laugh at me
Don’t look away

You’ll follow me back
With the sun in your eyes
And on your own
Bedshaped and legs of stone
You’ll knock on my door
And up we’ll go
In white light
I don’t think so
But what do I know?
What do I know?
I know

I know you think I’m holding you down
And I’ve fallen by the wayside now
And I don’t understand the same things as you
But I do

Don’t laugh at me
Don’t look away

You’ll follow me back
With the sun in your eyes
And on your own
Bedshaped, two legs of stone
You’ll knock on my door
And up we’ll go
In white light
I don’t think so
But what do I know?
What do I know?
I know

And up we’ll go
In white light
I don’t think so
But what do I know?
What do I know?
I know

A Little’s Enough

A Little’s Enough – Angels & Airwaves

When all is said and done
Will we still feel pain inside?
Will the scars go away with night?
Try to smile for the morning light
It’s like the best dream to have
Where everything is not so bad
Every tear is so alone
Like God himself is coming home

To say I
I can do anything, If you want me here
And I can fix anything, If you’ll let me near
Where are those secrets now
That you’re too scared to tell
I whisper them all aloud
So you can hear yourself

Green trees were the first sign
The deepest blue, the clearest sky
The silence came with brightest eyes
Like turning water into wine
The children ran to see
Their parents stood in disbelief
And those who knew braced for the ride
The Earth itself then came alive

To say I,
I can do anything, If you want me here
And I can fix anything, If you’ll let me near
Where are those secrets now
That you’re too scared to tell
I whisper them all aloud
So you can hear yourself

I’m sorry I have to say it but you look like you’re sad
Your smile is gone, I noticed it bad
The cure is if you let in just a little more love
I promise you this, a little’s enough
