Conspiracy Theories

I was chatting with a good friend the other day about conspiracy theories. Specifically the moon landings. Lately during midnight dog walks when the sky is clear I stare at the moon and wonder why we’ve never been back. Technology has certainly advanced tremendously in 30 years. Which naturally leads one to wonder if it ever happened right? Am I alone in this?

Do you think we ever actually landed on the moon?

You forgot about “suppressed transmission,” the Mars landing in ‘62, the colonization of outer space, and the CIA/drug cartel partnership. Just go to YouTube and type in “Slackers+Richard Linklater” and find the “Been on the moon since the 50’s” video. It will all be explained for you.

Alright, Amy is the only one to fess up to believing one of these theories so far.

On a separate yet related note, this new Possibly Related Posts feature is kind of hokey. It doesn’t even list this post I did on conspiracy theories 2 years ago.

Actually, a recent episode of 60 minutes was all about how NASA has launched a new program to build a whole town on the moon as a step towards supporting a mission to Mars.

They said that the reason nothing has been done recently is that when funding was cut for the program, they had to scrap all the old equipment….

I have wondered about these too. Now this has me wondering if we really did go to the moon. Tupac, Biggie Smalls, and Elvis could be the only ones that truly did make their way to the moon.

Sandi and I have watched too many documentaries on the moon landing. It was completely fake. No way did we make it to the moon. Maybe on day, but we have never been there.

We were to the moon, however military strategy did not include a lunar program but we wanted a leg up just in case. Up to now the priority was military superiority at the orbital level–the rationale for the shuttle.

Things have changed. You now have several nations all shooting for control of lunar territory. Shooting for Mars is just like shooting for the moon was in the 60s. We want the moon, but we want a leg up technologically.

grant czerepak is correct. The moon simply had nothing more to offer at the time. As for John F. Kennedy murder, I don’t consider it a theory anymore; there’s enough documented evidence, it’s just not publicized by the mainstream media. Check out a documentary (I found it on Netflix), “The Men Who Killed Kennedy.” It’s produced by the History Channel and distributed by A&E. The film itself is by some bloke named Nigel Turner.
