Chinese Democracy + Dr. Pepper

As if you needed a 24th reason to love Dr. Pepper, today the company is announcing that it will give a free Dr. Pepper to everyone in the U.S. if Guns N’ Roses release the album, Chinese Democracy, before the end of 2008.

Apparently Axl Rose has been talking about this album for a good 15 years, so the odds aren’t in our favor, but Dr. Pepper has set up a blog to encourage Axl in his quest.

i love doctor pepper and G&R…but i’m wondering if G&R should just stay on top of the cloud they’ve been riding for 15 years now. i’m not sure Axl has it in him to make a record as good as their first ones. if it ain’t broke…don’t fix it. go out on what top they still have left.

of course…i will be burned at the stake for saying stuff like this…but i’m just saying.

maybe Axl is waiting for China to release chinese democracy first. At any rate, I think we should all plan on paying full price for DP (product of Texas!) for the foreseeable future.
